Johnny utilizes a methodology of "advanced science" common to most New World Order Operatives. His core beliefs regarding science also conform to Technocratic standards. Of course, Johnny isn't much of a Scientist. He's more of a hands-on agent and his methods reflect this. Generally speaking, Johnny believes in the Enlightened Scientific Consensus. What is and can be proved factually by Enlightened researchers defines the true paradigm of the universe. The name of the game is progress. Everything else is folly and non-conducive to the propagation and success of the human race. In short, knowledge is power and power bequeaths responsibility to its wielders. Irresponsible persons (such as superstitionist magi) are dangerous to the goal of enlightening all of humanity. That is especially what drew Johnny to the New World Order. The realization of danger persons stirred a desire to protect them -- no, the responsible obligation of shielding mankind from folly and evil.
Paradox is a consequence of unrepentant Reality Deviants that cause too much diversity of belief in the world. Diversity is good, Johnny agrees, but too much is too much. Deviants cause an unhealthy imbalance in the universe. It's up to people like Johnny to stop them from poisoning the minds of humanity any further.
To date, Correspondence equates surveillance. To effect "Big Brother", Johnny utilizes a host of small devices. These "bugs" must be planted on or at the target and tapped into electronically. Johnny usually wires this data directly to a laptop computer. However, larger and more permanent equipment is sometimes employed. He understands the concepts of wormholes vaguely at this point. He can only transfer perceptually-detected particles via cables, radio, and other energy waves.
Entropy involves a semi-philosophical science for Johnny. The beliefs of hard determinism are iterated when Johnny wants to employ this Sphere. Thus, its effects are usually combined with Johnny's application of Mind.
Forces: raw physical energy is not easily manipulated by mere whim. But unlike many agents, Johnny had an excellent tutor in "advanced physics". Every force, Fu Wei taught, can be derived from simple motion. The quickest way to any point may be a straight line. But centrifugal force cannot be denied. It can increase kinetic force so arithmetically that other energies can also derive. Though major powers are beyond Johnny, he can evoke enough energy through various centrifuge-like methods to effect quite a bit. It's all a matter of speed and pattern. But for off-the-cuff Procedures, simply spinning in place with the correct positional angles can deliver devastating effect. This also has turned Johnny into the consummate gunslinger. When twirling a revolver on his finger can add enough centrifugal force to make one bullet kill no matter where it hits..
Finally, Johnny's Convention's specialty (and his own): Mind. For this Man in Gray, it's all about the human psyche. Psychology describes the human (and humanoid) brain quite adequately. Based off of that knowledge, Johnny can jump off with more advanced theories and techniques. To that end, he can easily encourage other people's emotions and ideas, or just determine what those ideas and feelings may be. In that manner, Johnny can confuse, deceive, and mislead others' perceptions and memories. He's starting to toy with dreamology as well, but it's still a bit beyond his knowledge. However, for Mind, Johnny only needs to observe or interact socially with his subjects, to implement his supra-psychological ideas.
Genius
Johnny is driving down an endless highway. He knows he has control of the wheel but he can't control where the road leads. The environment, and possible destinations, often change. Sometimes it's daytime, sometimes night. Sometimes he's driving alongside a city (that usually resembles Beijing but now begins to look like Kansas City). Other times he's in the countryside; the terrain varies greatly. He's not sure where he's going but he knows he's nowhere near his final destination. This highway-type of Genius doesn't always haunt him. But when it does, especially for Seekings, Johnny gets these visions while dreaming -- or behind the wheel for more than an hour.
Resonance
Static (Unshakable)
Johnny seems unarguably dedicated to moral fibers of "good and evil", "right and wrong". Trying to persuade him to sees things in a "gray area" seems to result fruitlessly. Social rolls involving such philosophical conversations are made at +3 difficulty, while Social rolls for demonstrating his virtue are made at -3 difficulty.
When it comes to Enlightened Science, Johnny has a tougher time convincing others that his views are flexible through advanced psychological Procedures (especially Mind) -- +1 difficulty to such Enlightenment rolls. Fortunately, he can adapt a certain role to blend in with a certain group or person's views in the first place (which he usually does). When it comes to impressing on persons his unshakable moral fiber, however, such Procedures are rolled at -1 difficulty.
Dynamic (Passionate)
Despite his cool, calm, and rational demeanor, Johnny actually has a lot of passion inside of him. Naturally, this passion is dedicated to the cause of the Technocracy. But that emotional heat can shine through his professional mien when roused enough, especially when outraged or torn by a personal dilemma. Rolls made to disguise his feelings are made at +3 difficulty in such circumstances. Impressing his emotions (such as through Intimidation) during such circumstances are made at -3 difficulty.
Any Procedures he performs when impassioned beyond his demeanor's control are made at -1 difficulty. However, Procedures that demand a cool exterior if not calm mind are made at +1 difficulty.
Significant Other
Originally, Johnny saw working for Yewan Zhang as a chance to get in good with the Triads in 2004. But as her bodyguard, his duties drew him closer to the young woman than professionally appropriate. Their passions resulted in her pregnancy. On December 18th, 2005, Yewan gave birth through an intensive labor in the hospital to their daughter, Xiwang. This concerns her parents, since Johnny and Yewan are not yet wed. Now unsure of where he stands, Johnny is at least resolved to cherish Yewan and raise their child.
Horror hardened Johnny’s heart a few years later. In 2008, a Triad shadow war got especially dirty and started targeting members’ families. Yewan and Xiwang were killed in a car bomb attack. Johnny went off the reservation to exact revenge, but as is often the case with MiG, all was forgiven after a thorough review and re-conditioning. Neither review nor re-conditioning detected, however, that Yewan persists, back in her club, as what the superstitionists call a "ghost". Well, whatever she is now, Johnny still loves her and would never seek to have her purged. They rekindled their romance and, indeed, she's even more useful to his work now, given her ability to spy unseen.
